Overview

  • Firefox is one of the most popular and reliable web browsers in use today, and what's more, it is completely free. All upgrades and new features are made available to users without any charge. One of the remarkable features of this powerful and stable browser is the ability to add extensions (addons) of a user's choice for a more enjoyable browsing experience. Art Project for Firefox is a new Addon that displays masterpieces from Google Cultural Institute in new tabs on Firefox. Ranging from Van Gogh and Monet to contemporary street art from around the world, Art Project for Firefox will add a colorful twist to your web browsing experience. With fast and lean operation ensured, this extension will not overload your system or cause your browsing to become slow. You will still be able to load websites with heavy content including high definition images, videos, and music while delving in to enjoy a bit of culture and appreciating painstakingly detailed art.

The latest version of Art Project for Firefox also allows you to store shown images in a profile directory called "artworks". Users can access this directory to view stored images later. The massive collections from distant museums are made available in high resolution images so you can look at them just like the paintings themselves. A look at the future of art, and perhaps a window into education as well, this project uses databases and mapping technology to make favorite art masterpieces accessible to people around the globe. However, not all museums are participating in this project, and valuable collections from the Prado in Madrid or the Vatican in Rome are left out. Additionally, some photography is only available at low resolutions, which may make the paintings appear grainy. In conclusion, we can safely say this innovative idea is doing a good job at bringing a whole new level of love for art to children and adults around the globe.
