Change Geolocation (Location Guard) is a multi-browser addon that let you easily change your geographic location to a desired value. Simply open addon options page and set latitude and longitude for where you want the geolocation to be. Next, reload a page and check your location. Please note that, beside latitude and longitude you can set other variables in geolocation API (see below FAQs). Moreover, pressing on the toolbar icon will activate or deactivate the addon.
2. What is Geolocation?
Geolocation is the estimation of the real-world geographic location of your computer (browser). It uses HTML5 API and your device sensors to calculate your geographic location. When you install this addon, the Geolocation API will be manipulated and forced to report a fake location. Please note that, any website that needs to use the Geolocation API will have to ask for user permission.

Working with this addon is very easy. Simply add this addon to your browser and start using it right away. The addon is active by default (toolbar icon color is green). The pre-set location is Greenwich, London, UK. If you want to change this location, please open addon options page and change the desired values for latitude and longitude. In order to find lat long for a location, you can use many online services such as Google Maps. Once the lat long are set, please reload a page to see the new geolocation. If you want to make sure the addon is working, please use online services that report your geolocation (i.e. browserleaks website). When you want to turn off the addon, please press on the toolbar icon once, which turns the icon color to light grey.
