  • 1. What is - Private Network - addon?

Private Network is a lite and multi-browser add-on that let you easily mask your real internet protocol (IP) address. Simply click on the start button at the top left corner (blue button). The addon will look for a free socks5 IP and port combination via a JavaScript API. Once the (ip:port) combination is found, it automatically applies it to your browser. You can now browser under this private network. Please note that, the API for searching ip and port is free but only releases 20 results per day. Once the limit is over, the addon will only uses the addresses from its memory (previously saved ip and ports). In order to turn off the addon, please click on the top right button in toolbar popup UI (grey icon).

  • 2. How can I work with - Private Network?

As mentioned above, please open toolbar popup UI and then click on the top left button. The addon will search for a working ip and port combination with socks5 protocol. Once a proper set is found, it automatically applies it as the browser proxy. Please note that, every time you click on the start button, a new identity (ip:port) will be found. For the first 20 identities, the addon will use the Javascript API, and for the rest, it uses the saved items in the memory.

  • 3. How can I download the source code for Private Network?

To download the source code for this extension from Chrome Web Store, it is recommended to use Extension Source Downloader.
