1. What is Remove HTML Elements?
Remove HTML Elements let you easily remove desired elements in any HTML5 webpage. Simply click on the toolbar button to activate the addon. Please note that this addon requires user-action in order to be activated. Once the addon is active, please hover on any element within the page with your mouse. When the mouse pointer is over any HTML5 element, it will highlighted with red color. Now, when you click on the highlighted element, it will be removed from the page. Please note that, this addon does not actually delete the elements from the page, instead, it changes the display property to none. The addon supports undo operation via Ctrl + Z keyboard combination.
2. How can I work with this addon?
As mentioned above, working with this addon is very easy. Simply browse to a webpage with HTML5 elements, then click on the toolbar button to activate the addon. When you click on any element within the page, it will be removed right away. As mentioned above, when you hover on an element, it will be highlighted with red color. For the undo operation, please press on the (Ctrl + Z) keyboard combination. Once you are done editing a page, please press on the Toolbar button once. The icon will turn to light grey. It is important to note that, this addon is disabled by default. You need to press on the toolbar button once in order to activate the addon. Moreover, every time you reload a page or restart the browser, the addon will turn to OFF, so you need to press on the toolbar button again in order to activate the addon (needs user action).
3. Does this addon work for Flash elements within a page?
No, this addon only works for HTML5 elements. It also does not support elements within iframes. So, if a page is completely inside an iframe, it can only remove the whole page at once and does not have any effect for the elements inside an iframe.
4. Does this addon have any options or settings to adjust?
No. there is not a separate options or settings page for this addon. It only has a toggle button in toolbar popup.
5. Does this addon works for frames (iframes) within a page?
No, as mentioned above, it does not work for elements inside an iframe. It can only remove the whole iframe at once.
6. How can I turn the addon OFF?
In order to deactivate the addon, please press on the toolbar button once. The icon will turn to light grey and the addon will be turned OFF. Please note that, reloading a page or restarting the browser will deactivate the addon as well.
7. How can I undo a remove operation?
In order to undo any operation, please press on the (Ctrl + Z) keyboard combination on your keyboard. Note, the addon should be in the active state when you press Ctrl + Z, otherwise you cannot undo any remove operation.
