    Search with Wikipedia™ is a multi-browser extension that enables you to search desired keywords (or sentences) in Wikipedia. Working with this addon is very easy. Just right-click on a selected word or sentence and then click on search in Wikipedia item. A new tab will be open with Wikipedia page loaded in it. Please note that, if your keyword (right-click text selection) has a distinct Wikipedia page, this page will be open in a new tab once you click on the context-menu item. But, if your keyword does not match a distinct page, the Wikipedia search page (a page with multiple matched items) will be open once you click on the context-menu item.

    Yes, you can choose target language from the options page. Just open the settings page and select your desired language. Next time you open Wikipedia, it will be open with the new language loaded in it.

    To download the source code for this extension from Chrome Web Store, it is recommended to use Extension Source Downloader. With this addon, you can download the source code as a ZIP or CRX format to your machine. If you want to download the source code from the Firefox addons store, please open the firefox download link (if available) in the Firefox browser and then right-click on the - Add to Firefox - button and select - Save Link As... - item.     When you click on a non-selected area within a page, the context-menu for Wikipedia wont be appear at all. You only see the context-menu when you select a text with mouse within the page.

  • 7. Can I search very long paragraphs or sentences with this addon?

    Yes, but there is no point for searching large text as Wikipedia will not be able to match a page for your selection. In order to get the best experience from this addon, please try to search for keywords only. This way there is a higher chance to match a Wikipedia page with your searched item.

    Yes, this addon is available for all browsers and platforms. However, mobile version is not supported yet.
