  • What is Tab Manager?

    Tab Manager is a multi-browser addon that help you organize your tabs from toolbar popup UI. If your browser supports sidebar (i.e. Opera or Firefox) you can open the Tab Manager UI in sidebar as well. Tab Manager addon supports multi-window and incognito mode. In order to work with this addon, just open toolbar popup UI and start managing your tabs. Within the UI you can see a search bar at the top. Below that, there is the list of tabs for window #1. Within each row in the list, there are several buttons. The first is the pin button which can be used to pin a desired tab(s). Next is the HTTP/HTTPs sign which shows if a website supports SSL protocol or not. Third icon is the tab icon which updates automatically depending on the tab URL. You can see the Tab title right after the tab icon. There are two buttons on the right side for editing or removing the current item. Please note that all tab items are draggable. Once you drag an item, the actual tab will be re-positioned as well.

  • How to work with Tab Manager?

    As mentioned above, there are two ways to open Tab Manager UI. If your browser supports sidebar, you can open the UI in sidebar by pressing on the sidebar button. Currently Firefox and Opera browsers support sidebar. Otherwise, please press on the toolbar button to open Tab Manager UI. Within the app you will see a search bar at the top. Simple type a desired keyboards to filter relevant tabs. There are also separate sections for each open window. Within each section is the list of open tabs. If you open a new tab in any window, the tab will be added to the corresponding window within the UI. Vise-versa, you can create a new tab by pressing on the plus sign within the app UI. As mentioned above, all tab items are draggable, in other words, you can drag them to your desired position.

  • Does this addon has a separate options page?

    No, currently this addon has no options or settings to adjust. All you need is placed in the UI (toolbar or sidebar).

  • Is Tab Manager UI different in toolbar popup or sidebar?

    No, exactly the same UI is loaded in toolbar popup and sidebar. Within the sidebar you can resize the UI but in toolbar popup the UI is fixed.

  • Can I drag one tab from one window to another?

    Yes, you can drag tabs within windows as long as the tab (or window) is not incognito.

  • If I change anything outside the addon does it get updated inside the app UI?

    Yes, everything you do outside the UI (i.e. opening, closing or updating a tab) will be updated automatically inside the Tab Manager UI. The exact same thing happens when you change anything inside the UI.

  • Is this app available for mobile devices?

    No, currently only desktop machines are supported. In future support for mobile devices will be added.

  • Can I open Tab manager in sidebar for Chrome?

    No, you can only open Tab Manager in toolbar popup for Chrome browser, this is because chrome currently does not support sidebar.
